LATAM Airlines to Launch Porto Alegre–Buenos Aires Flights in September, Expands Domestic Network
LATAM Airlines will begin operating flights between Porto Alegre and Buenos Aires-Aeroparque starting in September, with three weekly flights, intensifying competition on the Argentina-Brazil route.
The announcement comes just weeks after GOL resumed the same connection on May 12 after a nine-year hiatus, also with three weekly frequencies. Aerolíneas Argentinas currently operates the route with four weekly flights.
In addition to this new international route, LATAM also announced two new domestic connections from Porto Alegre: to Belo Horizonte/Confins, with 14 weekly flights, and to Florianópolis, with 7 weekly flights, both set to launch in September.
The airline will also increase frequencies on several existing routes: Curitiba (from 7 to 12 weekly flights in September), Rio de Janeiro/Galeão (from 17 to 28 weekly flights in September), and Brasilia (from 14 to 21 weekly flights in August), according to Brazilian aviation media partner AEROIN.
All flights will be operated with Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, accommodating 174 to 216 engers, including Economy seating.
