Scheduled Runway Closures at José María Córdova International Airport Due to Maintenance Work
Due to runway maintenance, José María Córdova International Airport in Rionegro will implement scheduled operational closures between the early hours of May 20 and the morning of June 1.
Specific closure times for each day have already been set and are available for consultation.
The interruptions have been authorized by Aerocivil and were coordinated in advance with the airlines. engers are advised to check directly with their airlines for any flight rescheduling during this period.
The enger terminal will remain open 24 hours a day, allowing travelers to arrive with sufficient time ahead of their flights.
The expansion of José María Córdova Airport, which serves the city of Medellín, is planned in three phases. The construction of a second runway and a new enger terminal is scheduled for the second phase, set to take place between 2035 and 2041.
