This is how Seville Airport is preparing to receive charter flights for the UEFA Conference League final.
For the UEFA Conference League final between Betis and Chelsea in Wrocław (Poland), Seville Airport will handle a total of 48 charter flights between May 27 and 29, including both departures and arrivals, according to a statement from Aena.
To manage this additional volume of air traffic, the airport has implemented a special operational plan, which includes extended operating hours during the nights of May 27–28 and May 28–29. This measure aims to enable staggered operations and reduce crowding during both departures and returns.
According to the company, additional staff will be deployed in key areas such as enger services, aircraft movement on the apron, and security checks to streamline enger flows and ensure smooth operations. Boarding gate assignments will also be reorganized to enhance departure efficiency for fans.
Airport food and beverage outlets will open earlier than usual, in coordination with the special flight schedule.
Regarding parking, the airport has optimized the allocation of parking spaces to improve access and accommodate private vehicles.
Seville Airport normally handles an average of 180 commercial flights per day, so integrating this special operation requires precise coordination to avoid disruptions.
